Higher Education in Riverside Since its founding in 1950, California Baptist University (CBU) has set the standard for faith-based educational excellence. Each semester, more than 19,000 students attend the city campus. They choose RCC because the college offers convenient day, evening, and weekend classes; online courses; affordable tuition; and complete student support services. As a community college serving this area for more than 96 years, Riverside City College also supports the local economy through critical vocational and apprenticeship programs in fields such as engineering, high technology, healthcare, culinary arts, international trade, auto tech and other services. University of Redlands School of Business Originally founded in 1976 as Whitehead College, the University of Redlands School of Business today offers graduate degree and degree-completion programs for working adults and professionals. Located in eight campuses throughout Southern California, the school offers convenient evening programs, study abroad opportunities, executive coaching, and collaborative employee –education opportunities with corporations and organizations. Faculty of the school include 23 full-time academics as well as a network of adjunct faculty made up of successful business professionals and entrepreneurs. Academic programs in the school are enhanced by student services designed to support adult learners, including: tutoring, career services, academic advising, alumni relations, electronic resources, and Web-enhanced courses.
